A cast, not a random collection

Characters who belong together.

PortraitWorks sample set

The cards are the cast.

Nine connected headshots from the Roadside Wanderers set. Each portrait card gives you a face, a personality, an attitude, and a place in the group—not just a token or a plot hook.

Personality cards

The four letters shape how each person shows up.

These are practical character signals, not a box that replaces writing. The type suggests what a person notices, how they decide, how they react under pressure, and what other people experience around them.

ESFPWarm, expressive, and quick to respond. Brings energy to a room; may act before thinking.
ISTJSteady, prepared, and duty-minded. Trusts evidence and routines; notices when others break them.
INFPPrivate, idealistic, and deeply values-driven. Gentle until something important is crossed.
ENTPInventive, curious, and provocative. Tests ideas—and people—to find what holds up.
Relationships are part of the design. The cards can identify family, lovers, friends, rivals, coworkers, or a parent and child. Those existing bonds should drive the attitude and reactions: a guarded stranger may be fiercely protective of a sister, a flirt may go quiet around a lover, and an orderly parent may lose composure when a child is threatened.
01 / ATTITUDE

See the person before the plot.

Each card starts with temperament, body language, and the way this person reacts—not a generic quest prompt.

02 / RELATIONSHIPS

Give the cast history together.

Connect people as mom, dad, sister, lover, friend, rival, or colleague so their reactions carry memory and consequence.

03 / USE

Put the cards where people can use them.

Use the portrait cards as a reference for roleplay, writing, campaign prep, or a product. Plot hooks are optional; character behavior is the foundation.
